Why should society conserve oysters, enrich its habitats and river ecosystems, including coastal mangrove forests? How can oyster conservation and mangrove restoration be done collectively and greenly to advance climate action, biodiversity and ecosystem services? What contributions can conservation make to the UN SDGs and green recovery from the triple COVID-19, economic and climate crises? What opportunities exist for children and young people to learn, engage in and benefit from biodiversity conservation? How can local leadership, institutions and resources be mobilised to support and sustain conservation, restoration and livelihood interventions? Inclusive conservation of oyster ecosystems requires partnering and financing, would you help? How can we appropriately integrate indigenous knowledge, human values and scientific technologies to own, transform and reconnect community-based conservation to bioculture, health, education, science and blue-green economy for sustainable development? You can be a powerful voice, share relevant information and, at the same time, lend a practical solution for resolving climate and sustainability challenges.
Many people wake-up to see thousands of dead oysters washed offshore every day. Human security, livelihoods and nutritious foods to put on the table are at risk. Is climate change not a major part of the causes? How are climate, oyster habitats and communities interacting? What is the future of oysters? With the present and future in mind, what can we do to bring science and best practice together to enhance socio-ecological improvements through sustainable nature-based solutions?
GOOD aims to conserve, co-restore and promote consumption of oysters, climate and its ecosystem resources in greener and eco-inclusive manners to provide food and scientific eco-tourism services to meet sustainability needs. The pointer solution is co-creation of a community-based oyster reserve for greening oyster ecologies, industries and empowering communities.

Can we confidently say the Songor and Keta Lagoon Complex Ramsar Sites connected to the Volta River Estuary are sustainable and future-ready?
